The Drifting Isles
For centuries the Northern coasts of Tarren lived in fear of raids from fierce warriors
from the seas. These sea-born raiders came from Islands in the North that linked
the continents of Tarren and Myrderos. The islands are bitterly cold and seem perpetually
shrouded in a chilling mist. Few sailors have explored these islands due to the
danger of being lost in the mists. The islands are home to the warlike Sea Kings
of Mercia and Scalda as well as a host of non-human kindoms. The terrible Frost
Giants that sometimes ally themselves with the Yarls of Scalda come from one of
the Northern Isles.
