Elves
The Elves arrived many thousands of years ago from distant, unknown shores. Their
armies seized control of the Western continent of Tarren with fire, steel and sorcery.
They conquered the old races of Tarren and built a vast empire where millions lived
or died at their whim. Eventually a terrible civil war brought the Elven Empire
to its knees and splintered its people. Today the Elves live in scattered city states
spread across the face of Arcana. Though far weaker than they were at the height
of their empire, their armies are still formidable and their people are eager to
reclaim their former glory and power.
